Living Innovations

Since 1997 Living Innovations has partnered with thousands of families in New Hampshire, Maine, Rhode Island and Connecticut to support people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to lead good lives at home and in their communities with innovative programming and services.
Supporting People is First: We believe each person is valuable and will put individuals at the center of all we do.
For some of our individuals, we have helped them find opportunities for Shared Living, which is based on carefully matching a person in need of support with a host family in a natural home, as opposed to a shift-staffed or institutional environment. Why is that important? One of our core values is: Putting people first. And we believe everyone should have an equal opportunity to experience all that life has to offer. For others, we have reinforced and provided opportunities to help them participate in educational, social and employment opportunities. In our Community Support Program, all activities are geared to meet the specific needs, desires and interests of the participants. The goal is to enhance their health, safety and independent living skills. As we have grown, we have had the ability to offer additional services to meet the burgeoning needs of the individuals and families we are privileged to work with.
Living Innovations provides support to people of all ages and abilities to have a good life at home and in the community by providing the following services:

Shared Living:

Shared Living is based on carefully matching a person in need of support with a host family in a natural home, as opposed to an institutional environment. The person receiving support receives the highest level of individualized care and community integration, compared to any other residential model.

Developing skills such as: Communicating clearly; Solving problems;Keeping one’s home clean; Using public transportation;Preparing for employment. The goal is for them to develop independent living skills so that they feel confident and at home in the world.

In-home Support:

This service is designed to give each individual and family the support they need to manage their busy lives. We can provide assistance on an as-needed basis: as few as 4-5 hours a week or as much as round the clock.

Private Pay:

For those who do not qualify for Medicaid funding, all of our services are available on a private pay basis. We will work with you to set up the perfect plan for a loved one in need of support.
